Children’s worlds and experiences of concepts such as culture, society, community, language, and gender differ, and children’s literature should and can reflect this diverse and colourful reality. As children’s literature researchers and educators, it is our goal to offer children a broad range of texts to help them discover and engage with new ideas as well as learn about themselves and others.
