What are we looking for?

At Sliding, our vision is to build a community inspired by childlike curiosity. This is why we have opened this space to contributions from around the world.

If you have reviews, opinions, critical perspectives, creative works, or any other kind of digital material that fits our themes — children’s literature, media, and culture — we welcome your submissions.

We know there are many voices to be heard: Young people, writers, artists, educators, parents, academics, and all those who love media and literature. By bringing these perspectives together, we aim to expand our understanding of children’s and young adult culture worldwide.

We believe that this multiplicity of voices not only enriches our collective knowledge, but also provides our readers with tools to embrace diversity, celebrate cultural richness, and discover the amazing ways people are shaping a better present for young people through literature, culture, and media.

Who can contribute to Sliding Magazine?

Anyone with childlike curiosity who has something to share about children’s literature, media, and culture can contribute.

What can you contribute?

Sliding Magazine publishes monthly thematic issues, and you are welcome to contribute with an article, opinion piece, in-depth essay, research-based work, or any other type of creative submission that fits our themes and digital format.

If you would like to share something outside the scope of our monthly issue, you are still welcome to submit it. Our editorial board will review your contribution and decide on its relevance and the best time to feature it online.
