Sliding is an independent, non-profit publication. 

Editorial independence

Sliding Magazine has an editorial team. The editorial process, the decisions that follow from this process, and the handling of complaints regarding this process are dealt with by the editorial team.

Editorial team and decisions

The editorial team is led by an editor-in-chief. Complaints can be directed to the editor-in-chief and will be dealt with by the editorial team. The editor-in-chief has the final say in decisions about complaints or issues.

Publishing criteria

The editorial team determines what is published on Sliding Magazine and does this without external influence.  It uses the following criteria:

  1. Quality of content and writing.
  2. The identity and concept of Sliding Magazine. The publication must regard one of the following themes: children’s literature, children’s media, children’s culture.

Content that has no place on Sliding

The following has no place on Sliding Magazine:

  • Forms of racism, sexism, homophobia , transphobia and discrimination in general.
  • Vox populism, hate speech and calls for non-democratic action.
  • Anti-human rights and anti-democracy discourses

Commitment to Accuracy and Transparency

Sliding Magazine is committed to accuracy and transparency. If factual errors are identified in published content, we will review and correct them as necessary. Readers may report inaccuracies by contacting the editorial team.

Comunity and Discussions

At Sliding Magazine, we encourage open discussions and value the diverse opinions of our readers. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts by commenting on our articles and engaging with us on social media. We believe that healthy debates enrich our collective knowledge and foster meaningful conversations. However, we reserve the right to remove any comments that, in the judgment of our editorial team and audience, are offensive.
