SLIDING

written by

Sliding down novels
and skating through space
browsing through titles
a breeze on your face
passing by schools and tea parties for eight
through libraries, museums, and rainforests –
how great!
tiny as ants crawling over a picnic
big as an ELEPHANT applying some lipstick
peek through Sims Bishop’s sliding glass doors :
there’s reviews, research, and listicles galore!
people we’ve met & things we’ve found,
our thoughts compiled in a digital playground

where will we land at the end of the page?
a utopian planet? a ball? a new Golden age?

we’ll travel as one, our voices united
how wonderful! how curious!
a global community invited

to the people who love children & books we are writing,
willkommen, witamy, bienvenida,
we bid you good tidings
THIS is our magazine,

and WE

are SLIDING.
